About Rouen France
Rouen is a city in the Normandy region of France with an important past and a vibrant present. Many notable artists such as Monet and Flaubert made the Rouen Cathedral the subject of their paintings.
The city is home to many remarkable buildings and monuments such as the Notre Dame de la Cathédrale de Rouen, Musée des Beaux Arts and Gros Horloge tower.
It has a lot of cultural and historic appeal that cannot be found in any other french city.
Monet’s famous depictions of Rouen Cathedral have made the cathedral many visitors’ favorite building to visit in the city, but there are a number of museums to explore, including the Gros Horloge clock tower, France’s oldest inn La Couronne, and a beautiful modern church dedicated to Joan of Arc.
Lined up in a row going from east to west through the center of town is a string of tremendous churches – Saint-Ouen, Saint-Maclou, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the modern church dedicated to Joan of Arc.
