Do you love to travel? Do you want to get paid to see the world? I’m going to share with you the top 10 ways to get paid to travel the world.

Traveling the world is one of my favorite hobbies, however, sometimes it can be difficult to get away from work or afford to travel somewhere beautiful.

So, today I’m excited to share with you some of the different jobs that will pay you and allow you to travel and see pretty places in the world!

Some of the jobs are location-specific, while others can be done online. They all allow you to travel or offer a free place to stay in exchange for work!

I’m super excited to share these opportunities with you and hope that you are able to live your dream life!

1. Travel Blogger

Travel Blogging is a wonderful way to get paid to travel. You could work with hotels, airlines, cruise companies, etc. who will pay you or give you a free or discounted trip in exchange for promotion!

Usually, it’s in the form of a blog post, social media post, or an email to your audience! You can also make money on your travel blog with ads and affiliate commission as well.

This is a wonderful way to get paid to travel because you can write and post about the destinations you visit to grow your blog and create a profit!

2.  English Teacher

If you are fluent in English or it’s your native language, you can get paid to teach it abroad!

I used to work with someone who spent a year in Paris teaching English to children, where she had free housing and got paid a salary for her work.

She was able to travel around Europe on weekends and said it was a really fun gig.

I recommend doing this to anyone and everyone who wants to get paid to travel! It’s an easy job and is an awesome way to afford to travel all over the world!

3. Freelancer

Starting your own freelance business is a wonderful way to make money while you travel!

As a freelancer, you can offer services in whatever area you may have skills in. It could be anything from writing blog posts, to designing business cards or answering emails!

If you are skilled in photoshop you could create images and graphics or if you are an expert in a certain field you could offer coaching!

What’s awesome about freelancing is the possibilities are endless and you may not even realize you have a highly desired skill someone will pay you for!

You could offer your services on Fiverr and/or create your own website to promote your services. I really like using BlueHost with WordPress for my site and highly recommend them!

4. Virtual Assistant

Speaking of owning a business, (yay entrepreneurship!) you could also work as a virtual assistant! In this role, you would typically help your employer with basic office tasks.

Such as sending out emails, answering questions online, making phone calls, etc.

I would recommend creating your own website to promote your business and the services you offer so that you don’t have to share your profits with another company. Click here to sign up with Bluehost for your website!

Otherwise, if you are new to working as a virtual assistant, you could get started using websites such as PeoplePerHour until you build up your clientele!

5. Flight Attendant

Another awesome job that pays you to travel is working as a flight attendant!

You are literally traveling when you work and you get to explore the different cities and countries the plane travels to when you are off.

Also, working for an airline has its perks, like discounted or free flights!

You may not get to choose where you travel when you are on the clock, but it’s a really awesome way to see and explore the world!

6. Au Pair

Working as an Au Pair is a great way to see the world, especially if you like kids!

An Au Pair is someone who stays with a host family for free in exchange for helping around the house or childcare.

Most Au Pair’s also earn extra money from the host family on top of their free rent to spend and typically will have weekends and evenings off to explore!

7. Surf & Ski Instructor

If you know how to surf or ski, you could teach others how! Honestly, if you don’t even know how to, you could learn pretty quickly and then get a job teaching!

Surfing and skiing are both easy enough to learn and master the basics. You could then get a job teaching at a ski resort or on a beach!

There is usually a demand everywhere for seasonal workers and if you want to spend a few months living on a mountain or on the beach, definitely consider this job!

8. Fitness Instructor/Trainer

If you are into fitness, you should consider getting paid to teach or train others around the world. You could teach most fitness classes, personal training sessions, Zumba, Yoga, Body Pump, etc.

A lot of resorts and cruise ships will pay you to teach for a few weeks or a couple of months and when you aren’t teaching or training the guests, you get to enjoy your vacation!

Even if you aren’t an instructor or personal trainer at the moment, you could get certified and look for temporary positions all over the world!

9. Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a way to live in America’s national parks for a short period of time.

You would live and work in the national park and also have time to explore, hike, and see the park and surrounding area.

If you love nature, I think this is an awesome way to see the amazing natural areas America has to offer!

You would also make $10 an hour for your work and are expected to work part-time. And you will have plenty of time to explore and see all of the beautiful areas!

10. Photographer

If you read this job suggestion and thought to yourself: naaaaahh that’s not me, I’m not a photographer— well, you’re wrong!

If you ever take pictures of your dog, of yourself, or of literally anything, that makes you a photographer. Maybe an amateur photographer, but a photographer nonetheless.

If you invest in a DSLR camera, or even the new iPhone and learn shooting and editing techniques from YouTube, you could earn good money from taking travel photos!

Try starting in your city and taking pictures of landmarks and interesting buildings and selling your photos online.

You could sell them on stock photo websites and/or to businesses!

Once you start making money from this, you could travel around the world and take amazing photos to sell online. Essentially getting paid to travel!

I think this is an awesome business that anyone can do that is willing to take the time to learn.
